Sukaytin Gr
Type Locality and Naming
Along the valley of the Sukaitysai River and the Sukaitin terrace of the Kashkadarya River. G.F. Tetukhin, 1951 (127, p.34). Represented by deposits of the III terrace of the middle course and corresponding alluvial cones. Upper group in the Karnab Complex (Karnab Gr), the deposits of the Sukaytin Gr (complex) are adjacent to the alluvium of the II terrace of the Zarafshan River.
Synonym: Sukaytyusky Complex, Сукайтинский компл.
Lithology and Thickness
Alluvial-proluvial pebbles, sands, and loess-like rocks with lenses of clays and sand. Thickness in the foothills up to 15 m, on the plain - 15-23 m, in the depression - 55-70 m.

Lower contact

Regional extent
Rivers Kashkadarya and Zarafshan, Zirabulak-Ziaetdin district. Corresponds to the Golodnostep Gr (complex) of the Prishashkent district (444).

Fossils
Contains remains of the mammoth complex fauna, ostracod shells, and late Mousterian tools in the pebbles, and remains of a late Paleolithic camp in the overlying loess.
